Hey guys I know it's been forever and a day since I posted. If you follow me on Instagram *shameless plug* you know that my son graduated from high school in May. Since then it's been one major life change after another and in true Tia fashion, I let everything else go. Whenever I have a lot going on (which is most of the time) I go into survival mode so that things don't fall apart, but I lose myself in the mix. When I say "lose myself" I mean I put most of the things that rejuvenate me on hold...number one being exercise! Exercise is so important for me not just physically, but also mentally. I love taking a brisk walk or jog outside! There's something about being outdoors that just puts me in a different mental and emotional place. I've been back on it for the past couple of weeks and while the scale hasn't changed much, my mindset has. My goal is not so much to achieve a certain number, but to improve my overall health. I would be lying if I said I didn't want this improvement in overall health not to be reflected in my body...y'all see these rolls, LOL! Most importantly though, I want to be balanced and healthy. I'm starting small...exercising for 30-60 minutes at least 3 days/week, packing my lunch, and eating healthy high protein dinners. I haven't given up on chips and guac and Sunday brunch, but I'm definitely limiting these things and remembering to exercise after.
P.S. Did you guys know that Ross Dress for Less has really cute work out clothes? I scored these Betsey Johnson activewear leggings, tank, and Nike Runners there :)
